As with most things, hope springs eternal, especially in the National Football League. Every team starts with a clean slate initially, but as the season wears on, the contenders usually seperate themselves from the pretenders.
Having said that, predictions on which teams will make the playoffs and the Super Bowl are rampant. Most picks are inaccurate, while there are some that are spot-on.
